MNL Airport (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) – Cargo, Address, Transit

About This Airport

Paircargo and Cargohaus are the two customs-bonded warehouse operators that between them clear almost all air freight at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL/RPLL) in Pasay, Metro Manila — with Paircargo alone handling roughly 70% of throughput from its 40,000 m² cargo complex with direct ramp access. The airport moved 616,478 tonnes of cargo in 2024, up almost 27% year on year, making it the Philippines' leading air cargo gateway. Around two thirds of that was international traffic, the remainder domestic feeder volume to the island network. Capacity has been tight since a third handler, Miascor, was shut down in 2018, and customs release backlogs have periodically stretched dwell times; the Bureau of Customs responded by extending working hours and opening additional processing points on site. Most tonnage travels as belly cargo on passenger services, complemented by integrator freighter operations. Construction of a new Terminal 4 on the site of the former cargo terminal is absorbing further land. Shippers looking to avoid congestion often route via Clark International (CRK) about 100 km north, where transshipment procedures with the Clark Freeport Zone have been aligned with NAIA, or via Mactan-Cebu (CEB) for the central islands. Road access into Metro Manila is short in distance but heavily congested, so trucking windows should be planned generously.
