Per quarterly statistics from the Philippine Civil Aeronautics Board, PAL carried 21,330,000 kilogrammes of international cargo and mail in the first quarter of 2026, a 17.14% market share and the largest of any international cargo carrier in the country. Cebu Pacific ranked second with 18,610,000 kilogrammes and 14.95%.

PAL Cargo is the freight arm of Philippine Airlines, Inc., the national carrier of the Philippines and the oldest airline in Asia still operating under its original name. The company belongs to the listed PAL Holdings, Inc. and flies under IATA code PR, ICAO code PAL and the callsign PHILIPPINE. Air waybills are issued under AWB prefix 079. According to the list of active AOC holders published by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, the carrier's own air operator certificate is numbered 2009001 and is valid until 30 September 2027. On 16 June 2025 the airline rebranded its existing freight division as PAL Cargo. The operating model is belly cargo only: PAL runs no dedicated freighters and instead markets the lower-deck capacity of its own passenger fleet. That fleet comprises Airbus A350-1000 and A350-900, Boeing 777-300ER, Airbus A330-300, A321neo, A321ceo and A320-200 aircraft, plus De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 turboprops for the island network (as of September 2026). The hub is Manila Ninoy Aquino (MNL) with its International Cargo Terminal; the airline names Clark (CRK), Mactan-Cebu (CEB) and Davao (DVO) as further cargo focal points. According to quarterly statistics from the Philippine Civil Aeronautics Board, PAL was the country's largest international cargo carrier in the first quarter of 2026. For forwarders this means available capacity is tied directly to passenger frequencies, and outsize or high-volume consignments are only possible to a limited extent. The carrier accepts general cargo as well as special cargo covering perishables, valuables, dangerous goods, live animals and plants; it names pharmaceuticals and e-commerce as growth areas.
