Priority Cargo (Priority Light / Priority Heavy)

Priority product for urgent shipments in two classes. Priority Light covers consignments under 300 kg with a maximum of 70 kg per piece, requires no booking and closes 90 minutes before departure, both subject to space. Priority Heavy covers consignments above 300 kg and requires a booking at least four hours before departure. Copa refunds the price difference if the shipment does not fly as booked. Not applicable to human remains, valuables, live animals and dangerous goods.

Integrado

Contract product for shippers with regular just-in-time consignments. The agreement is concluded between shipper, agency and Copa Cargo for a fixed term and works with reserved capacity (space allocation) on defined flights at an agreed rate. The cargo system alerts the customer to irregularities, and shipper-specific handling procedures can be agreed.

PHP / PHA

Two pharmaceutical products aligned with IATA pharma requirements. PHP provides temperature control from 2 to 25 degrees Celsius with high loading priority, PHA provides temperature protection from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius with medium priority. In both cases Copa keeps apron exposure short and uses thermal blankets and insulated dollies to limit temperature excursions.

DGR

Copa Airlines Cargo carries dangerous goods only within a narrow set of IATA classes: class 2 division 2.2 (non-flammable, non-toxic gases), class 3, class 6 division 6.2 (infectious substances category B), class 7 as medicinal items containing radioactive components, and class 9. Handling follows the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations strictly, is carried out by trained staff and uses dedicated warehouse areas. All other classes are excluded.

Live animals / Copa Mascotas

Live animals travel with loading priority, an extended acceptance deadline and expedited ramp handling. The shipper supplies a compliant container, packaging must be clean and leak-proof, and animals must be fed and watered before tender — Copa does not feed them in transit. Carriage is limited to Monday through Friday, preferably on the morning flight, and only on a prepaid air waybill. The shipper must be aware of handling and costs at destination. A separate Copa Mascotas offering covers pets.

Safe 1 / Safe 2

Two levels for valuables, both with loading priority and a prepaid air waybill. Safe 1 keeps the shipment in security cages until collection, with an escort taking the goods to the aircraft in person and receiving them at destination. Safe 2 offers optional 100 percent X-ray screening to verify completeness and transport to the aircraft in sealed dollies. No valuables are accepted or flown at weekends or on public holidays, and bookings must be made through the Copa Cargo reservations department.

HUM

Human remains are carried with the highest loading priority. The booking, including all connections, must be confirmed before the shipment is tendered. Funeral homes tendering HUM shipments must be certified and authorised by Copa Airlines Cargo.

Fresh 2 / Fresh 3

Two levels for perishable goods. Fresh 2 provides loading priority, refrigerated dollies, access to a cold room for up to 24 hours, temperature monitoring and expedited ramp handling at origin and destination. Fresh 3 covers loading priority and expedited ramp handling without an active cold chain.

Big

Product for outsize cargo: pieces longer than 317 centimetres and pieces that cannot be stacked because of their characteristics. Where required, specialised equipment such as large forklifts, lashing straps and high loaders is used, and if the situation demands it a load master travels with the shipment to supervise loading and unloading.

Diferenciado: Art and Concerts

Under the umbrella term Diferenciado, Copa Airlines Cargo groups special handling for shipments that require particular care. With the Art product the customer may supervise palletisation and each shipment is handled to individual instructions. With the Concerts product, musical instruments are carried with loading priority.
