Capital: Andorra la Vella
Andorra (ISO-Code: AD) is located in the southwest of Europe in the eastern Pyrenees between France and Spain. The country is a parliamentary principality that is politically independent, but maintains close economic and diplomatic relations with its neighboring countries. The climate is predominantly alpine, with cold winters and mild summers; in the valleys, there is a transitional climate. Economically, Andorra is strongly specialized in tourism, banking and financial services, as well as retail. Foreign trade focuses mainly on imports of food, consumer goods, and fuels from Spain and France, while exports are relatively low. Due to its location in the Pyrenees, Andorra acts as a transit country for regional road traffic, but it has no seaports. The national currency is the Euro (EUR), although Andorra is not a member of the European Union. The logistical infrastructure includes well-developed road connections to neighboring countries and limited storage options. The geographical location and political stability make Andorra an attractive location for trade, tourism, and financial services.
