General Justo José de Urquiza Airport (PRA / SAAP) serves Paraná, capital of Entre Ríos, from a 425-hectare site ten kilometres southeast of the city that it shares with the Argentine Air Force's II Air Brigade. Operated by Aeropuertos Argentina 2000, it is the province's principal airport, connected mainly to Buenos Aires-Aeroparque. Air freight barely features: no cargo terminal, bonded warehouse or regular freighter operation is documented, and what moves does so as belly cargo. The region's heavy-goods backbone is the Paraná-Paraguay waterway with its river ports, complemented by road links to the Rosario loading area some 170 kilometres south. International air cargo for Entre Ríos is consolidated at Buenos Aires-Ezeiza (EZE), Argentina's main freight airport, with Rosario (ROS) as the nearer alternative. Forwarders treat PRA as a regional passenger field backed by strong road and river connections.
