COC Airport (Comodoro Pierrestegui Airport) – Cargo, Address, Transit

About This Airport

Citrus above all — Concordia sits at the centre of Argentina's largest orange and mandarin belt, and also ships blueberries, eucalyptus and pine timber from the banks of the Río Uruguay. Comodoro Pierrestegui Airport (COC/SAAC), run by the municipality within the national airport system, regained scheduled service through regional carrier Humming Airways, which links it with Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires after years without Aerolíneas Argentinas flights. The airport has no commercial cargo operation: no freight terminal, no freighter handling and no air-cargo customs post, with only marginal belly capacity on the small aircraft used. Export produce therefore travels by truck on Ruta Nacional 14 and is flown from Buenos Aires-Ezeiza (EZE), some 430 road kilometres south. Cross-border traffic to Uruguay crosses the Salto Grande dam directly into Salto, while Rosario (ROS) offers a further inland cargo option. For supply-chain planners, road and river links matter far more here than any airborne alternative.
