Oman Air Cargo is the freight division of Oman Air S.A.O.C., the state-owned flag carrier of the Sultanate of Oman. The airline began operations in 1993; according to its own statements, the cargo business has existed since 2009. There is no separate air operator certificate for the cargo business — Oman Air itself operates every flight, and Oman Air Cargo is the sales and product brand for that business. The company does not operate freighter aircraft of its own. All capacity comes from the lower deck of the passenger fleet, which is being consolidated onto two Boeing families under a restructuring running since 2025: Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 on long-haul routes and Boeing 737-800, 737-900 and 737-8 on short and medium-haul routes. In addition, the carrier operates a road feeder service which, according to its own statements, connects more than 75 cities across Europe to its flight destinations. The hub is Muscat International (MCT), where Oman Air Cargo uses a dedicated terminal with multi-zone temperature-controlled areas. From Muscat the network reaches the Gulf states, North and East Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia and Europe, including Frankfurt, Munich, Milan Malpensa, Paris Charles de Gaulle, London Heathrow and Zurich. The network has been trimmed since 2025 and individual destinations have been dropped, so the current timetable is authoritative. For freight forwarders the relevant identifiers are the IATA designator WY, the ICAO code OMA and the AWB prefix 910. Booking and shipment tracking run on the carrier's SmartKargo platform. The e-AWB is available via the IATA multilateral agreement and a Traxon connection; the PIMA address is REUAIR08OAS and the special handling code EAP or EAW must be applied. The product range covers general cargo, pharma with CEIV certification, perishables, live animals, valuables and dangerous goods.
