Garuda Indonesia Cargo is the freight division of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, the state-controlled Indonesian scheduled airline headquartered in the Service Management Building at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang. As of March 2025 the largest shareholder was the state-owned Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia with 64.54 per cent; the Republic of Indonesia holds a Series A golden share. The cargo division is not a carrier in its own right: the air operator certificate, the air waybill and the liability rest with the parent company, which also operates the aircraft. The terms of use of the cargo platform name the provider verbatim as "Cargo of PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk". Operating model: Garuda Indonesia Cargo markets belly capacity on its own scheduled fleet. As of 31 March 2025 the company reported 58 aircraft - 42 Boeing 737-800NG, seven Boeing 777-300ER, seven Airbus A330-300 and one each of the Airbus A330-200 and A330-900neo. The same table shows no dedicated freighter for the main brand; whether the two Boeing 737-800BCF introduced in 2020 remain in service could not be established from primary sources and is recorded here as an open conflict. In the first quarter of 2025 the main brand carried 34,716 tonnes of cargo at a cargo yield of 35.35 US cents. The hub is Soekarno-Hatta (CGK) in Jakarta. The carrier's own cargo schedule lists more than 100 origin and destination stations, mostly within Indonesia; international points include Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Seoul Incheon, Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), Osaka Kansai, Taipei, Shanghai Pudong, Beijing, Guangzhou, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Amsterdam, London Heathrow, Jeddah, Medina and Mumbai. Key facts for forwarders: IATA designator GA, ICAO code GIA, AWB prefix 126; every air waybill starts with 126 followed by eight digits. Tracking and the cargo schedule run through cargo.garuda-indonesia.com. Products cover general cargo, dangerous goods, perishables, pharmaceuticals, live animals, valuables, human remains as well as vehicle and valet shipments.
