Passar 2.0 is the expansion stage of the Swiss goods traffic system Passar (BAZG) that covers the import domain and replaces the legacy system e-dec Import. The rollout is gradual: first productive pilot imports took place in April and May 2026; thereafter Passar Einfuhr is opened to further companies. An independent switch is not yet possible — companies coordinate the migration with the BAZG and their software provider. The last import customs declaration in e-dec Import is possible on 30 September 2027; after that, all imports must be declared via Passar. e-dec data is not migrated automatically. With Passar Einfuhr the mobile Activ App becomes mandatory for automated border crossing: the driver activates the goods declaration on arrival at the border. Not to be confused with Passar 1.0 (transit and export). As of June 2026.
