ASL Airlines France S.A., based in Tremblay-en-France at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, is a French airline operating its own flights and belongs to Irish parent ASL Aviation Holdings DAC in Swords near Dublin. It carries the IATA designator 5O, the ICAO code FPO and the AWB prefix 558; its callsign is FRENCH POST. The company runs a mixed model of freighter flights, scheduled and charter passenger services, ACMI leasing, ground handling and its own Part 145 maintenance shop. For forwarders the night network matters most: according to the carrier, ASL Airlines France performs more than 30 flights every night carrying mail, parcels and express freight. It has flown the overnight postal services for La Poste for years and works for express integrators and online retailers. The freighter fleet consists of Boeing 737-800F and Boeing 737-400F aircraft (as of January 2025); the 737-800F carries 22.4 tonnes on 11.5 positions, the 737-400F 20 tonnes on 10.5 positions. Boeing 737-700 and 737-800 aircraft serve passenger and charter duties. The carrier does not publish dated unit numbers. The hub is Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Express lines run from there to Ajaccio, Marseille, Kaunas, Prague, Porto, Bologna, Dublin, Budapest, Gdansk, Berlin, Ljubljana, Venice, Örebro, Copenhagen, Athens, Istanbul, Gothenburg and Katowice, among others. Direct cargo services to Algiers operate from Paris-CDG, Paris-Orly, Lille, Lyon, Mulhouse and Strasbourg. Products include general cargo, express freight, mail and parcels, dangerous goods under IATA DGR including class 1, perishables and temperature-controlled goods in RAP, RKN and JYP containers, live animals under IATA LAR as well as valuables and vulnerable shipments.
