About This Seaport
San Pedro is located at kilometre 275 of the Paraná river and serves as a grain and general cargo port in Argentina's Pampa region north of Buenos Aires. The facility has two berths at the grain elevator and two general-purpose berths equipped with land cranes. Principal cargoes are grain, minerals and steel; road and the Paraná river waterway connect the port to its hinterland. San Pedro is integrated into the Paraguay-Paraná waterway system, which moves bulk exports from the intensively farmed Buenos Aires region. Containerised shipments are better served by Buenos Aires or Zárate.
