Operated by the Israeli Air Force as its largest installation, Nevatim Air Base (IATA: VTM, ICAO: LLNV) lies in the Negev desert east of Beersheba and hosts C-130J transport squadrons, aerial tankers and F-35I fighters. It carries no scheduled passenger or commercial freight traffic; access is restricted to the military. While its long runways and apron could in theory move volume, the base is not open to civilian cargo. Israel's commercial air freight is handled at Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) near Tel Aviv, leaving Nevatim no role in the goods supply chain.
