Minhas Air Base (ATG) matters for what it builds, not for any freight it moves. Home to the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) at Kamra in Attock district, it is where the JF-17 Thunder fighter is co-produced and where MFI-17 Mushshak and JL-8 trainers are assembled and Mirage and F-7 jets overhauled. The base is named after Rashid Minhas, a recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider. For all that industrial weight, it is a military installation with no scheduled civil or cargo service and no open cargo terminal. Forwarders with air freight for the wider region clear shipments through Islamabad International (ISB), about 60 km east. Kamra's significance lies in defence production, not commercial logistics.
