Tucked on the Saharan edge some 14 kilometres north of the oasis town known as the 'City of Happiness', Bou Saada Airport (IATA BUJ, ICAO DAAD) sits near Ouled Sidi Brahim in Algeria's M'Sila province. Air Algérie provides a thin domestic offering, serving destinations such as Algiers, Laghouat and Touggourt; there are no scheduled international flights. The field has no genuine cargo infrastructure — no freight terminal, cold chain or dangerous-goods handling — and airfreight is effectively negligible, limited to small belly consignments and mail. No customs clearance takes place on site. Goods for the region therefore route through Algiers Houari Boumediene (ALG), by far Algeria's largest air-cargo gateway roughly 250 road kilometres to the north, with Ouargla (OGX) an option for consignments heading further south. Final distribution runs entirely by truck over the national road network.
