Bharatpur (BHR/VNBP) is the domestic airport of Chitwan in central Nepal, served by Buddha Air and other Nepali carriers with turboprops to Kathmandu and Pokhara, and sits at the edge of Chitwan National Park in the Terai. There is no cargo terminal, no freighter service and no air-cargo customs post — only belly capacity on passenger aircraft. Export and import consignments run through Kathmandu Tribhuvan (KTM), while overland the town is linked by the Mahendra Highway and the Indian border crossings at Birgunj and Bhairahawa, with Kolkata (CCU) as the more distant air-freight option.
