Andriamena Airport (IATA: WAD) is a basic airstrip in Madagascar's central highlands, opened up to reach a remote mining and farming area. It has no scheduled service, no cargo handling and no customs presence, seeing at most charter, resupply and medical flights. Exporters shipping Malagasy air freight - vanilla, textiles or fishery products - use Antananarivo Ivato International Airport (TNR) roughly 250 km to the south-west, where customs and cold-chain facilities are available.
