Royal Air Maroc Cargo, marketed as RAM Cargo, is the freight division of the Moroccan flag carrier Compagnie Nationale Royal Air Maroc. The division does not hold an air operator certificate of its own; all flights operate under that of Royal Air Maroc. Air waybills are issued under IATA designator AT with AWB prefix 147, the ICAO designator is RAM and the callsign is ROYALAIR MAROC. The operating model combines belly capacity on the passenger network with a single freighter. One Boeing 767-300F with a payload of about 45 tonnes serves a scheduled freighter network out of Casablanca which at the start of 2026 covered Brussels, Istanbul, Bamako and Ouagadougou; a weekly Dakar service was added on 6 January 2026. The remaining capacity comes from the holds of the passenger fleet, including Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 on long-haul routes to North America, South America and the Middle East, and Boeing 737-800 on European and African services. RAM Cargo additionally sells full charters. The hub is Mohammed V in Casablanca (CMN). According to the carrier, its freight terminal there has two cold rooms held at 4 to 8 degrees Celsius, two secure rooms of 100 square metres each and an annual handling capacity of 200,000 tonnes, with around 140 staff working in shifts. The carrier states that its direct network covers 79 destinations in Africa, Europe, North America and the Middle East, extended by interline agreements and road feeder services. What matters for forwarders: outside Morocco sales run almost entirely through general sales agents, in Europe including ECS Group and ATC Aviation. Shipment tracking is outsourced to the CHAMP Cargosystems platform. Royal Air Maroc has been a Cargo iQ member since 2019 and in May 2022 became the first African airline certified to the Cargo iQ standard. An IATA CEIV Pharma certification could not be substantiated from primary sources.
