A Passar API endpoint is the technical target address (URL) through which customs software sends its messages to – and receives responses from – Passar, the BAZG goods-traffic system in Switzerland. Via the system-to-system (B2B) interface, goods declarations and transport declarations are submitted, validated and returned with their status history – not shipment tracking or rate queries as offered by generic logistics APIs. Integration follows a one-time registration in the BAZG ePortal; each request is authenticated with a JWT (see Passar API token), which replaces certificates in the B2B channel. The endpoint is used by forwarders, hauliers, customs agents and trading companies, or their software providers. Distinguish it from the ePortal web access used for manual data entry.
