e-dec Export was the module of Switzerland's e-dec system used to declare exports electronically to the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG). Anyone exporting goods from Switzerland declared them to customs through it; private individuals and shippers used the free e-dec Web application, while forwarders, hauliers and customs agents used certified software via an interface. As part of the customs digitalisation programme DaziT, e-dec Export was replaced at the end of 2025 by Passar Export (the Passar 1.0 stage): since 1 January 2026, export and transit declarations run through the new Passar goods-traffic system. For professionals: the switch required registration as a business partner in the BAZG ePortal with the appropriate roles; instead of the former e-dec export document, a Movement Reference Number (MRN) and — in the transport process — the Digital Transport Slip (DTS) are now generated. Not to be confused with e-dec Import (imports, replacement by Passar 2.0 expected by 30 September 2027), with e-dec Web, or with the EU/common transit system NCTS. Roadmap dates are planning status and may shift. Last updated: June 2026.
