A shipper books a carrier to move goods from Frankfurt to Munich – no border crossing, no customs declaration, no international freight documents. That is domestic transport: the carriage of goods entirely within a single country's borders. Unlike cross-border shipments, there are no customs formalities to complete, no CMR consignment note for international road consignments, and no transit permits to arrange; only the national traffic laws and transport regulations of that country apply.
