Palm oil drives cargo work at Sandakan, the principal freight port on the east coast of the Malaysian state of Sabah, on the Sulu Sea. Operated by Sabah Ports (SPSB), the main wharf has four berths for general cargo, containers and dry bulk, backed by three separate liquid terminals handling palm oil and petroleum products.
