Crude oil, condensate and LPG are the only cargoes at the Jabung Batanghari Marine Terminal, an offshore export facility in the Berhala Strait about 16 nautical miles east of the Batanghari river mouth. Operated by PetroChina International Jabung, two moored FSO units — Federal 1 for crude and condensate and Petro Star for LPG — load production from the Jabung block onto tankers at an open roadstead. No containers, breakbulk or conventional port services are handled; this is an upstream energy terminal rather than a general cargo harbour. Its hinterland is the producing field and pipelines, not road or rail corridors, and operations follow Indonesia's export and customs practice for hydrocarbons. Shippers moving containers or general cargo for Jambi province instead use river ports such as Talang Duku on the Batanghari, or the hubs of Batam and Singapore.
