About This Seaport
With around one million barrels of storage afloat, Belanak is an offshore hydrocarbon terminal rather than a conventional cargo port, sited in the South Natuna Sea Block B about 200 km northeast of Singapore. The spread-moored FPSO "Belanak Natuna" works alongside the LPG floating storage unit "Gas Concord" to export crude, condensate and liquefied petroleum gas. Daily output runs to roughly 14,700 barrels of propane and 7,800 barrels of butane, loaded exclusively onto gas carriers. The terminal supports side-by-side mooring for LPG vessels up to about 78,500 m³ and tandem mooring up to some 85,000 m³. No containers, breakbulk or customs-cleared commercial freight move through this open-water field, and there is no hinterland road or rail link. Shippers with general cargo should route via Batam, Singapore or Pontianak.
