Overview
Wallis and Futuna (ISO code: WF) lies in the southwestern Pacific between Fiji and Samoa and consists of the island groups of Wallis and of Futuna and Alofi. Politically it is a French overseas collectivity with a special autonomy status and close administrative ties to France; it is associated with the EU as an Overseas Country and Territory but is outside the EU customs and VAT area. The climate is tropical with year-round high temperatures, high humidity and a pronounced rainy season.
