Once a military airfield in Angola's southern border war, Xangongo (IATA: XGN, ICAO: FNXA) today is a modest regional strip in Cunene Province, near the Namibian frontier, at about 1,110 m elevation. Scheduled service is thin and limited to occasional domestic links, with no regular freight capability. Forwarding consignments for the area move by road via Lubango or directly to Luanda, entering the air-cargo system at Quatro de Fevereiro (LAD). The field has no commercial cargo infrastructure of its own.
