Orang Airport (RGO), near Chongjin on North Korea's northeast coast, is a joint military and civil field in North Hamgyong Province with only intermittent passenger service. It runs no dedicated cargo operations and has no freight terminal of note. For the industrial Chongjin region, sea transport carries the weight: the ports of Chongjin and Rason handle goods and link by rail to Russia and China. Where air freight is needed, it is routed through Pyongyang Sunan International Airport (FNJ) rather than RGO.
