Set on quiet Cat Island in the central Bahamas, New Bight Airport (TBI) handles modest regional and charter traffic from Nassau and Florida. Visitors heading for the island's beaches and the resident community make up most of the demand. There is no freight terminal or customs cargo bond here, so cargo_capable is honestly false and supplies arrive largely by sea. Urgent air freight is routed through Lynden Pindling International in Nassau (NAS). Nearby Mount Alvernia, crowned by The Hermitage, is at roughly 63 metres the highest point in all of the Bahamas.
