Darbasiyah Airstrip near Ghanamiyah in Syria's northeastern al-Hasakah governorate is an unpaved strip directly on the Turkish border, with no IATA or ICAO code, no civil scheduled traffic and no cargo handling of any kind. The area has been affected by the conflict in Syria for years, and movements here are military or humanitarian rather than commercial. Goods effectively travel by road, with air freight connections through Erbil (EBL) in northern Iraq and the Turkish airports of Mardin (MQM) and Gaziantep (GZT); sanctions exposure and the security situation must be checked before any planning.
