Suparna Airlines Co., Ltd. (金鹏航空有限责任公司), based in Shanghai, is a Chinese carrier that operates both passenger and cargo services under a single air operator certificate. It belongs to the HNA Aviation Group; the group's belly capacity is marketed by the sister company HNA Cargo Co., Ltd., which states that it pools the capacity of eleven group airlines. Until the end of 2017 the company traded as Yangtze River Express Airlines Co., Ltd. The change of name is recorded in FAA Order JO 7340.2G Change 3 dated 7 December 2017, with the three-letter designator YZR and the telephony call sign YANGTZE RIVER left unchanged. Forwarders deal with the airline under IATA code Y8, ICAO code YZR and air waybill prefix 871. The governing document is the carrier's own General Conditions of Carriage for Cargo, filed with the civil aviation authority and published on its website, effective 1 December 2024. Among other things they set the volumetric ratio at 6,000 cubic centimetres per kilogramme, allow a declared value with a free limit of 26 special drawing rights per kilogramme of gross weight, and cover special cargo: dangerous goods, live animals, perishables, valuables and human remains. Full aircraft charter is available under a separate charter contract. Since 2025 Suparna has been building a long-haul freighter network with the Boeing 777F. Boeing handed over the first aircraft on 24 September 2025 and a second followed in the autumn of 2025. The carrier has linked Shanghai Pudong with Liège since November 2025, Chongqing with Liège since 5 January 2026, and since 24 January 2026 it operates a weekly Oslo–Shanghai Pudong service which, according to airport operator Avinor, is the only direct flight from Oslo to Shanghai.
