The first unit was in conversion at Bedek Lingyun in Yichang according to ch-aviation on 15 August 2023, the first IAI conversion of this type in India. Two previously operated Boeing 737-800(BCF) were retired in August and September 2022. No newer evidence, count not recorded.
Freighter capacity: Boeing 737 main deck with PAG pallets up to 6,033 kg gross weight per pallet position, pallet base 2,235 x 3,175 mm, cargo door 82 x 132 inches. Single pieces above 80 kg and above 3,334 kg per main-deck pallet position count as restricted and must be cleared in advance.

SpiceXpress is the air cargo brand of India's SpiceJet group. Since 1 April 2023 the cargo and logistics business has legally sat in SpiceXpress and Logistics Private Limited. SpiceJet Limited's audited consolidated accounts for the financial year ended 31 March 2025 name that company explicitly as a material subsidiary. In those accounts cargo forms a separate segment, "Freighter and Logistics Services", with revenue of INR 1,869.41 million in financial year 2024/25 against INR 3,248.32 million the year before. Whether the freighters operate on an air operator certificate held by SpiceXpress and Logistics Private Limited or still on that of the parent SpiceJet Limited could not be established from primary sources. This record therefore deliberately carries no codes of its own. What matters for forwarders: the IATA membership register assigns SpiceJet Limited the IATA code SG, the ICAO code SEJ and airline code 775, and group air waybills accordingly start with prefix 775. Trade databases disagree on whether SpiceXpress additionally holds a designator of its own. Operating model: converted Boeing 737 narrowbody freighters of its own plus belly capacity on the SpiceJet scheduled fleet. The dedicated cargo service began on 18 September 2018 with a Delhi–Bengaluru rotation. Base and hub is Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. No freighter fleet evidence more recent than August 2023 is available; at that point SpiceXpress held three Boeing 737-700(BDSF), one of them active, and was taking on its first Boeing 737-800(BDSF). On 19 August 2026 SpiceXpress signed a memorandum of understanding with handler Air India SATS covering livestock freighter services at the Multi-Modal Cargo Hub at Noida International Airport, envisaging around 200 freighter movements between September 2026 and August 2027.
