Aerotransporte de Carga Unión, S.A. de C.V. is a Mexican all-cargo airline based in Mexico City that has traded under the licensed brand "avianca cargo Mexico" since 24 June 2025. The former trading name AeroUnion remains widely used in the market and still shapes the company's web address and shipment tracking portal. According to management, the brand licence agreed with Colombia's Avianca Cargo is open-ended; capital structure, operating permits, corporate governance and technical, staffing and financial resources remain with the Mexican company. For forwarders this means the operator and the issuer of the air waybill is still the Mexican company, not Avianca Cargo of Colombia. The company holds IATA code 6R, ICAO code TNO and the callsign AEROUNION. Air waybills run under its own prefix 873; Avianca Cargo of Colombia bills under a separate prefix of its own. That distinction matters for booking, billing and CASS allocation. The airline operates its own widebody freighters. As of 29 August 2025 two Airbus A330-300P2F aircraft were in service, each offering a payload of more than 60 tonnes and systems for temperature-controlled shipments. These aircraft work alongside the Airbus A330 freighters of Avianca Cargo in Colombia. The operating hub is Felipe Ángeles airport (NLU) north of Mexico City, to which Mexico moved all dedicated freighter flights from the city airport from 2023. Guadalajara and Monterrey are further Mexican focus points, and seven weekly frequencies serve Los Angeles. Through interline and commercial agreements within the Avianca Cargo network the company states it reaches more than 350 destinations. Its focus sectors are technology, automotive, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, personal care and perishables.
