QuickZoll is the free app of the Swiss BAZG (Federal Office for Customs and Border Security) for private individuals, allowing travellers to declare goods themselves when importing into Switzerland and to pay any charges (customs duty and VAT) directly in the app — with no counter visit, no prior registration, around the clock. For context and professionals: since 2025 the duty-free value allowance is CHF 150 per person and day for goods for private use or as gifts; VAT is levied at the standard rate of 8.1% or the reduced rate of 2.6% (e.g. food, non-alcoholic beverages, books). QuickZoll CANNOT be used for commercial goods, live animals or vehicles — these must be declared at a customs office. Distinction: QuickZoll is exclusively for private travellers; commercial goods traffic runs through the Passar goods traffic system, the Declar web application, the Activ App and e-dec/goods declaration. Part of the digitalisation of Swiss customs under DaziT. As of June 2026.
