QuickZoll now takes both VAT rates into account
The Federal Customs and Border Security Office has expanded the QuickZoll application as of June 1, 2026. The app now takes both VAT rates applicable in Switzerland into account. This makes digital customs declaration for imported goods even more precise and user-friendly.
The adjustment particularly affects private individuals and companies that import smaller shipments. By automatically considering the appropriate VAT rate, the risk of incorrect declarations is reduced and digital customs processing is simplified.
The adjustment also brings advantages for cross-border e-commerce. Correct tax calculations support legally compliant import processing and contribute to more efficient customs procedures. Both recipients and logistics service providers, who process a large number of small shipments daily, benefit from this.
The further development of QuickZoll demonstrates that digital solutions in the customs sector are continuously being expanded. Modern applications not only support compliance with regulatory requirements but also accelerate administrative processes in international goods traffic.
