The warehouse decision-making process is the systematic sequence of activities for making choices related to warehousing operations. Typical areas include inventory policy, warehouse layout, turnover and throughput optimization, staffing and resource planning, technology selection (e.g., warehouse management systems) as well as safety and quality considerations, aimed at reducing costs, improving service levels, and increasing efficiency.
