BAZG Identity Management
BAZG identity management refers, in the digital environment of the Swiss Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG), to all the procedures by which individuals and companies are identified, authenticated and granted the correct access rights to the digital customs services.

BAZG identity management refers, in the digital environment of the Swiss Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG), to all the procedures by which individuals and companies are identified, authenticated and granted the correct access rights to the digital customs services. For private persons and professionals alike (freight forwarders, hauliers, customs agents, trading companies): personal login is handled via AGOV, the common login of the Swiss authorities (which replaces the former CH-Login). Access to the applications runs through the BAZG ePortal, where the user account and permissions are managed. Companies are additionally maintained as business partners: through the Connex business-partner management they receive a Business Partner ID (GP-ID) and apply for the appropriate business-partner roles, which determine which activities (e.g. goods declaration, carrying out transport, settlement) may be performed in goods traffic with Passar. Identity and access management is therefore the foundation of onboarding for the digital services under the DaziT programme. Not to be confused with AGOV (a pure login service), the ePortal (the access platform) or the GP-ID (an identifier): these are components of identity management, not synonyms for it.
