Die Ukraine (ISO-Code: UA) liegt in Osteuropa und grenzt an Polen, die Slowakei, Ungarn, Rumänien, Moldawien, Russland sowie an das Schwarze Meer und das Asowsche Meer. Politisch ist das Land eine parlamentarisch-präsidentielle Republik mit demokratischen Institutionen. Das Klima ist überwiegend kontinental mit kalten Wintern, warmen Sommern und regionalen Abweichungen an den Küsten und in Gebirgsregionen. Wirtschaftlich ist die Ukraine stark durch Landwirtschaft, Industrie, Energieproduktion und Dienstleistungen geprägt, wobei Stahl, Getreide, Maschinenbau und chemische Produkte von internationaler Bedeutung sind. Im Aussenhandel exportiert das Land vor allem Agrarprodukte, Metalle, Maschinen und chemische Erzeugnisse, während es für Energie, Technologie und Konsumgüter auf Importe angewiesen ist. Logistisch verfügt die Ukraine über Seehäfen an Schwarzem Meer und Asowschem Meer, internationale Flughäfen sowie ein gut ausgebautes Strassen- und Schienennetz, wodurch sie eine zentrale Transitfunktion zwischen Europa und Eurasien einnimmt. Die Landeswährung ist die Ukrainische Hrywnja (UAH). Strategische Investitionen konzentrieren sich auf Infrastruktur, Transport, Logistik, Energie und Digitalisierung, um die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu sichern und die Integration in globale Lieferketten zu fördern.
