Asiana Cargo es la división de carga de Asiana Airlines Inc., con sede en Seúl. Desde diciembre de 2024 la sociedad está participada mayoritariamente por Korean Air Lines Co., Ltd. y pertenece por tanto al grupo Hanjin. Su modelo operativo cambió de raíz en 2025: el 1 de agosto de 2025 Air Incheon asumió la totalidad del negocio de aviones cargueros, incluidos diez Boeing 747 cargueros, un Boeing 767F y unos 800 empleados; el comprador opera desde entonces bajo el nombre AIRZETA. Asiana Cargo comercializa desde entonces únicamente capacidad en bodega de su propia flota de pasajeros y ya no opera aviones cargueros. Según el transportista (consulta del 14 de septiembre de 2026, publicada sin fecha de referencia), la flota consta de 67 aeronaves de pasajeros: seis Airbus A380-800, 15 Airbus A350-900, 14 Airbus A330-300, ocho Boeing 777-200ER, 13 Airbus A321neo y once Airbus A321-200. Según ECS Group, un A350-900 ofrece hasta 18 toneladas de capacidad de carga. El centro de operaciones es Incheon (ICN), donde Asiana explota su propia terminal de carga que, según sus propios datos, mueve una media anual de unas 700'000 toneladas y también atiende a otras aerolíneas. Desde el 1 de agosto de 2025, ECS Group es el GSSA exclusivo del negocio internacional en bodega en 33 emplazamientos de nueve países. En 2024 Asiana transportó unas 158'000 toneladas de carga en bodega en vuelos internacionales de pasajeros. Para los transitarios: código IATA OZ, código OACI AAR, indicativo ASIANA, prefijo de guía aérea 988. La gama se denomina Rapid 988 y distingue seis clases de servicio con reembolso de la diferencia tarifaria si no se cumple el tiempo de conexión prometido. A ello se suman General Cargo, RFS y Sea & Air, Rapid Charter, la línea de carga especial Rapid FAITH, el producto con temperatura controlada Cool+ y el servicio prioritario APS. Decisivo para la planificación: según fuentes sectoriales coincidentes, Asiana Airlines se fusionará con Korean Air el 17 de diciembre de 2026 y se disolverá como sociedad. El tratamiento posterior del prefijo 988 no está documentado en fuentes primarias.
