Air India Cargo es la division de carga de Air India Limited, la aerolinea de red india con sede en Gurugram, en el estado de Haryana. La sociedad esta inscrita con el CIN U62200HR2007PLC111539 y esta controlada por Tata Sons; Singapore Airlines mantiene una participacion desde la fusion con Vistara, completada el 12 de noviembre de 2024. Air India Cargo no es un transportista independiente: el conocimiento aereo, la responsabilidad y las reclamaciones corresponden siempre a Air India Limited, titular del certificado de operador aereo. El modelo de negocio es la pura comercializacion de capacidad en bodega. El transportista no opera aviones exclusivamente de carga y vende unicamente capacidad en las bodegas de las flotas regulares de Air India y de su filial Air India Express. El resumen oficial de flota a 11 de agosto de 2026 recoge los Airbus A319, A320ceo, A320neo, A321ceo, A321neo y A350-900 asi como los Boeing 787-8, 787-9 y 777-300ER; los Boeing 737-800 provienen de Air India Express. Los aviones de fuselaje ancho admiten palets PAG, PAJ, PMC, PLA y PKC y contenedores AKE, ALF, AAP, AMP y AMF, los de fuselaje estrecho solo carga a granel. La red se concentra en India, con centros propios de almacenamiento y transbordo en Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM) y Bengaluru (BLR). Desde el 20 de junio de 2026 Air India es la primera aerolinea india que aplica el nuevo marco de transbordo del Gobierno de India en el corredor Chennai-Delhi-Frankfurt; el 21 de agosto de 2026 se amplio a Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad y Mumbai con continuacion hacia Copenhague, Frankfurt y Londres Heathrow. Los envios admisibles permanecen en la misma unidad de carga y ya no requieren un nuevo control pieza por pieza en Delhi. Para los transitarios: codigo IATA AI, codigo OACI AIC, prefijo AWB 098. Reserva, eAWB y seguimiento se gestionan a traves del portal de carga aicargoportal.airindia.com. La gama abarca express, farma, correo postal, mensajeria, mercancias peligrosas, animales vivos, perecederos, valores y mercancias vulnerables; para farma existe una certificacion GDP de SGS en las estaciones que el transportista designa expresamente.
