The Nagel-Group has moved into a new facility at VGP Park Rostock. Operations are already underway. The company reports approximately 11,000 square meters of warehouse, administrative, and technical space. Around 16,500 pallet positions are available in the dry storage facility.
The property is directly connected to the A19 motorway. A separate hall area is designated for additional services such as packaging and labeling. Nagel names Rügen Fisch GmbH from Sassnitz as a user of the storage capacity. (Source: Nagel-Group)
For shippers in northern Germany, this facility can serve as an additional warehousing and distribution option. However, whether it suits their own goods flow depends on product range, volumes, and agreed services. The number of pallet positions alone does not indicate how much space can be offered to a new customer in the short term.
The exact type of warehouse is also important. One should not automatically assume refrigeration based on Nagel-Group's food business operations. Those handling temperature-controlled goods must clarify requirements explicitly with the provider. For each new storage arrangement, delivery windows, pallet quality, labels, and order data should also be agreed upon. This helps avoid unnecessary waiting times or rework during the first goods receipt.
