FedEx is raising its standard list prices for US parcel services effective January 4, 2027 by an average of 5.9 percent. The increase affects US domestic services as well as US import and US export services. Ground Economy, Ground Multiweight, and additional offerings will also become more expensive.
The figure of 5.9 percent is only an average across many price positions. The actual calculation may increase more or less significantly. Decisive factors include service type, weight, zone, dimensions, minimum price, and negotiated discount. Additionally, FedEx is adjusting several surcharges and fees. Pickup and delivery zone lists will also be revised.
Effective January 18, 2027, a fee of $25 will be added in the US if trade documents are submitted on paper before shipment processing and must be processed manually. For manual paper air waybills on US domestic and export shipments, a fee of five dollars is planned. Furthermore, the residential delivery surcharge will be extended to additional international shipments.
For e-commerce, the total increase may therefore exceed 5.9 percent, especially for residential recipients, remote areas, large packages, or manual documentation. Shippers should not only compare the base rate but should recalculate actual shipment data from 2026 using the new rate tables.
