DHL Group expects more than 7 billion euros in EBIT for 2026. The company had previously forecast more than 6.5 billion euros. EBIT refers to earnings before interest and taxes. DHL announced the increase on October 16.
Based on preliminary figures, revenue in the third quarter rose to approximately 22.6 billion euros. DHL reports sustained strong business in express services and expects robust seasonal business in the final quarter. The complete quarterly report is scheduled to be released on November 5. For air freight customers, another point is of interest: capacity constraints have additionally supported express results according to the company. However, this does not translate into a uniform price increase for every route. Express shipments and conventional air freight also do not operate under the same conditions.
In practice, therefore, it pays to take a close look at the offer. How long does the price remain valid? Is the airport confirmed? What surcharges apply? Those who regularly ship urgent cargo should coordinate the required volumes early with their service provider. A better earnings forecast from the provider is no substitute for confirmation for your own shipment. For shippers, what ultimately matters is whether transit time, price, and capacity fit the order.
