About This Seaport
Operated by Mobil Producing Nigeria, an ExxonMobil affiliate, the Yoho Terminal is an offshore crude-oil production and storage facility (FPSO/FSO) in the Gulf of Guinea off Akwa Ibom State. It serves the Yoho field in licence block OML 104, onstream since 2002, and exists purely to lift crude — no containers, breakbulk or project cargo move here. Produced oil is stored aboard the floating unit, which offers roughly 2.19 million barrels of capacity, and transferred directly to export tankers through offshore loading. Being far out at sea, the terminal has no quays, no customs facilities and no road or rail hinterland. For freight forwarders it therefore holds no practical relevance. Commercial consignments for south-eastern Nigeria route through Onne and Port Harcourt, with containerised cargo handled at Lagos (Apapa and Tin Can Island).
