About This Seaport
Once home to a cannery that out-produced every other in Alaska, Loring is now largely a ghost town on Naha Bay. Set about 25 miles north of Ketchikan on Revillagigedo Island, it is reachable only by water and offers nothing more than free community docks. There is no commercial cargo handling, container service or customs here, so its freight relevance is effectively nil. Goods bound for the area move through nearby Ketchikan.
