For forwarders, Honolulu is the main entry point for Hawaii-bound freight, feeding the neighbour islands onward. Cargo for Maui, the Big Island or Kauai routes via Kahului, Hilo or Nawiliwili, while mainland connections run mostly through Long Beach, Oakland or Tacoma.
