About This Seaport
A single state-built dock, dating from the 1970s and now slated for a roughly US$43 million federal replacement, is the only marine link for Cold Bay on the Alaska Peninsula. It lands the fuel, water, groceries and supplies the small community depends on, and supports the area's commercial fishing. Service comes via bi-weekly dry-cargo barges from Seattle that also call King Cove and Unalaska/Dutch Harbor, plus the Kodiak–Dutch Harbor ferry route. There is no container line or international freight here; for that traffic, Dutch Harbor (Unalaska) is the regional port of reference.
