The twin marinas of Chiavari and Lavagna in Liguria's Tigullio Gulf (IT CHX) are dedicated exclusively to leisure craft and fishing — no cargo handling takes place. Porto di Lavagna alone offers around 1,400 berths (140 for transit visitors) for yachts up to 51 metres; Chiavari's tourist harbour has held the Blue Flag continuously since 1987, reconfirmed in 2026. For ocean freight and customs clearance, Genoa and La Spezia are the relevant commercial alternatives.
