The Comana strip lies some 30 kilometres south of Bucharest on the edge of the nature park of the same name and serves sport, private and ultralight flying; it has no IATA or ICAO code, no scheduled service and no cargo handling. There are no handling agents, no warehousing and no customs post, so its freight relevance is nil. Air cargo for southern Romania moves through Bucharest Otopeni (OTP), the country's freight gateway, while consignments towards Bulgaria mostly travel by truck across the Danube at Giurgiu-Ruse.
