Barza airfield lies in Gorj county in south-western Romania, a few kilometres from Târgu Jiu, and is used for general and sport aviation. There are no scheduled services, no cargo handling and no customs presence, so its relevance for air freight is effectively nil. Shipments from the region are trucked to Craiova airport (CRA) about 110 km to the south-east, or on to the larger freight gateways at Bucharest Otopeni (OTP) and Timişoara (TSR).
