About This Airport
The airfield on Angaur, a small island at the southern end of Palau, is a former Second World War military strip now used only sporadically by light aircraft; there is no scheduled service, no freight handling and no customs office. It carries no weight in air cargo, and the island is supplied mainly by boat from Koror. All of Palau's air freight moves through Roman Tmetuchl International Airport at Koror/Airai (ROR) some 60 kilometres to the north, with Guam (GUM) and Manila (MNL) the usual transfer points.
