Uzbekistan Airways Cargo is the cargo arm of Uzbekistan Airways Joint Stock Company, Uzbekistan's state-owned flag carrier, based at 41 Amir Temur Avenue in Tashkent. It is not a separate air carrier: the air waybill, liability and claims always rest with the parent company, which trades under IATA designator HY, ICAO code UZB and AWB prefix 250. The company was founded on 28 January 1992 by presidential decree as the national airline, has been a member of the IATA Clearing House since 2008 and joined IATA in 2014. The offering has two parts. First, belly capacity in the holds of the scheduled fleet; second, cargo charters, which the carrier states it offers to any destination using a freighter version of the Boeing 767-300ER. The freighter operation goes back to two Boeing 767-300BCF converted from passenger aircraft, delivered in 2014 and placed in regular service in 2015; the earlier Airbus A300-600 freighters were withdrawn in 2015 and Ilyushin Il-76 cargo operations ended in 2013. The company does not publish a current, dated freighter fleet list - the cargo fleet page consists of an image file without text. Home base and main handling point is Tashkent (TAS). Uzbekistan's second freight location, Navoi (NVI), was developed from 2008 together with Korean Air as an intermodal logistics centre; its cargo terminal opened in 2010 and an international postal exchange office was added in 2018. What matters for forwarders: booking and tracking run on CHAMP Cargosystems. The tracking portal is reached at ebooking.champ.aero using airline code HY, and charter requests go to the Cargo Charter Flights Department at charter.cargo@uzairways.com. The Uzbek freight airline My Freighter, which holds its own AOC and freighter fleet, must be kept strictly separate.
